At the upcoming Law Society of British Columbia’s Annual General Meeting, Member Resolution 3 is being tabled for consideration by the membership. This resolution does not align with LABC’s core values.
Building a culture of Truth and Reconciliation is integral to living according to our core beliefs and fulfilling our mission. As part of this commitment, we are reaffirming our support of residential school survivors, their families, and communities.
Residential school denialism perpetuates ongoing harms to Indigenous people and is contrary to Truth and Reconciliation.
