Legal Aid BC would like to thank the survivors of family violence who took the time to share their experiences with us as well as the service providers who support them. You’ll find the finalized report detailing the engagement here.
This feedback plays a vital role in helping us at LABC gain a better understanding of the needs of family violence survivors. We are immensely grateful for the insights we have received, which will be instrumental in shaping the development of the new family law clinic model.
We understand that we can’t accomplish this important work on our own and we hold gratitude and appreciation for the survivors and service providers who participated in the engagement, as well as for the opportunity we are embarking on.
Because of the bravery and insights of the participants, we are now in a better position to successfully deliver on the important work ahead. We will continue to listen and learn from survivors of family violence and the service providers who support them as we progress towards the implementation of this new service.
This engagement report relates to our new family law expansion announced in February 2024.
