Applying for a lawyer vendor number (Form-A)

To apply for a vendor (billing) number so you can start taking legal aid cases, please complete this form:

To become an LABC lawyer, you must be authorized by the Law Society of BC to practise in BC, reside in BC, and not be subject to practice conditions or involved in disciplinary proceedings. We encourage anyone who meets this criteria to apply. All applications will be reviewed in consideration of our clients’ complex needs to ensure that applicant lawyers have sufficient experience and supports to adequately help our clients. LABC will assist interested lawyers to gain the necessary experience or obtain supports to qualify to take on legal aid cases.

Before submitting your application, you must read the LABC Tariffs, including the General Terms and Conditions.

Once we approve your application, we’ll send you an email notification with your vendor number and information on how to get started.

We’ll also arrange your one-on-one orientation session with a Lawyer Support Representative. LABC’s orientation program qualifies for two CPD credits.
