The family early resolution process in the BC Provincial Courts was expanded as of May 1, 2026, to all registries within the Vancouver, Fraser, Vancouver Island, and Interior regions. See this BC government media release for more information and a full list of registries.
To support this transition, LABC has already implemented enhanced duty counsel services in some of those locations and is working on expanding those services by allowing self-represented litigants in more remote registries to access the enhanced services through the existing expanded family duty counsel hubs.
