As of February 25, 2022, the Ministry of Children & Family Development advises that West Moberly First Nations Chief and Council has been added to the list of Indigenous Governing Bodies for the purpose of receiving notice of significant measures under section 12 of An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families.

West Moberly First Nations Chief and Council must receive notice prior to taking any significant measure regarding a child or youth from their Nation.
