You may have noticed a $.01 difference on some of the hourly rates in the April 1, 2020 LABC Tariff Guide.
Calculation methods involving rounding (when applying percentage increases to hourly tariff rates) that were used to arrive at the new hourly rates in the Memorandum of Understanding were slightly different than how our system calculates them. The Association of Legal Aid Lawyers and the Attorney General were appraised and have agreed to the difference. In the hourly rate chart below, two of the rates are a penny less and two are a penny more. The amounts in parentheses are the former rates.
