Courthouse Libraries BC offers free family law resources

Courthouse Libraries BC (CLBC) offers a variety of in-person and remote-access resources for lawyers during the pandemic.

You can subscribe for a free account to access databases remotely, which include HeinOnline, Irwin Law, Rangefindr and Canadian Newsstream. During the pandemic, CLBC has also been providing lawyers with free temporary access to WestlawNext and Quicklaw databases. To register, email librarian@courthouselibrary.ca.

CLBC also provides free webinars on a variety of topics for continuing professional development. Create a CLBC account and subscribe to receive periodic updates about upcoming webinars. Lawbster is home to the Family Law Organizer, a closed online community where BC family law professionals can connect, share precedents and other resources, and engage in dialogue on a variety of legal issues.
