LABC uses the information you enter on your profile page in the Lawyer Portal to help assign appropriate lawyers for our cases. One valuable piece of information our Intake Department uses is the “court locations” section of your profile. For some time, we asked you to enter locations where you will “practice without provision for travel”. This did not accurately reflect how that information was being used by Intake, and we have since updated the wording as follows:
“Please add the court locations you are willing to accept contracts for.
*All contracts are subject to LABC travel policies. Please refer to the LABC Tariffs General Terms and Conditions for details. If it is unclear whether a contract offer includes travel authorization, please inquire prior to acceptance.”
You can add any court location that you are willing to attend, considering our travel policies. Please update your profile accordingly as this information supports LABC when looking for a lawyer in more difficult-to-place locations.
