LABC continues to offer bursaries for continuing professional development courses that are relevant to your legal aid practice.
These courses are all coming up during November 2020 and are available to attend via webinar.
- November 12 (9 - 10 am): DivorceMate Software Masters Series 2: Mastering Shared Custody Calculations (for family law practitioners only)
- November 20 (9 am - 4:30 pm): Pozner on Cross: Advanced Techniques Using the Chapter Method
- November 24 (9 - 10 am): DivorceMate Software Masters Series 3: Mastering Special Expenses (for family law practitioners only)
- November 27 (9 am - 4 pm): Aboriginal Law Conference 2020: Governing in the Time of Covid-19
To be considered for a bursary, you must have an LABC vendor number, have taken a minimum of three legal aid contracts in the last 12 months, and agree to take a minimum of three contracts in the coming year.
To apply for a bursary, email lawyers.resources@legalaid.bc.ca and provide the name of the course, your call date, vendor number, and confirmation that you agree to take the minimum number of contracts in the coming months. Selection of bursary recipients is at the discretion of LABC.
