The Ministry of Children and Family Development advises that, as of January 28, 2026, Musk-kosiminiziibing has been added to the list of Indigenous Governing Bodies for the purpose of receiving notice of significant measures under section 12 of An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families. Musk-kosiminiziibing must receive notice prior to taking any significant measure regarding a child or youth from its Nation.
