We’ve added a document to the Lawyer Portal with links to resources to help family lawyers navigate recent changes to federal family law legislation and the Divorce Act.
Scissors separating family

The Department of Justice Canada (DOJ) continues to develop online training courses, professional training materials, and public legal education and information resources about the recent amendments to federal family law legislation and the Divorce Act.

We’ve compiled a list of DOJ resources, which includes links to online training courses, forms, fact sheets, and other family law publications to help you and your clients learn more about the changes.

You can also find the list in the Lawyer Portal under the Resources tab. Click on Resources for Lawyers and scroll down to LABC Resources by Area of Law. Click on Area of Law: Family to find the PDF called Department of Justice Canada — Family Law Resources (June 2021).
