Minor updates have been made to Legal Aid BC’s Family Tariff.
The Family Tariff will now reflect the following changes:
- Incidental changes to reflect an increase to Family Limited Representation Contract financial eligibility.
- Revision to clarify current policy that lawyers can assist a client with divorce under a Family Limited Representation Contract if it is not the client's only legal issue.
- Revision to clarify current policy that for lawyers to bill preparation for issues related to matrimonial property on reserve tariff item, the family home and any other matrimonial real property must be on reserve.
