Family Law Centre

The Family Law Centre is a Legal Aid BC program. This service is free and helps to address legal and non-legal issues for survivors of family violence.

How can the Family Law Centre help you?

We’ll provide legal representation and support throughout your family law case. You’ll work with a lawyer and an advocate to help you stabilize your legal and non-legal issues.

The lawyer can:

  • provide you with full legal representation to resolve your family law issues, and
  • help you with other overlapping legal and non-legal issues.

The advocate can:

  • be your main point of contact, answer questions, and provide information;
  • go with you to meetings and appointments, and
  • connect you with other services such as counselling, Indigenous cultural supports, parenting support programs, settlement services, and victim services.

Are you eligible for this kind of help?

Anyone wishing to access the Family Law Centre program is encouraged to contact LABC directly. Intake staff are available to help assess legal issues and determine whether an individual is eligible for this program or other LABC services.
