We’re excited to announce that our Managing Lawyer of the Smithers Parents Legal Centre (PLC), Megan Olson, has been appointed as a judge to the Provincial Court of BC. Megan will be officially sworn in on November 24, 2025, and assigned to the Smithers region.
Called to the BC bar in 2008, Megan worked in criminal defence and has experience in Indigenous law. She has a close relationship with the Smithers community and the Gitxsan First Nation, and she has been an incredibly valuable part of LABC in her role at the Smithers PLC.
We know Megan will bring the same excellence and integrity to the bench as she brought to her work with LABC.
