The Ministry of Children and Family Development advises that, effective November 4, 2025, Chawathil First Nation, and effective November 20, 2025, Tahltan Band have been added to the list of Indigenous Governing Bodies for the purpose of receiving notice of significant measures under section 12 of An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families.
Chawathil First Nation and Tahltan Band must receive notice prior to taking any significant measure regarding a child or youth from their nations as per the dates listed.
