Want to hire a law student for an articling position? Consider posting opportunities for law students, for free, on the University of British Columbia (UBC) Allard School of Law’s online recruitment system, Allard Careers and Events (ACE). You can create an ACE employer account to post jobs directly and connect with students and alumni.
UBC can also post a job on ACE on your behalf. For this option, let UBC know the following:
Job application details
- method (direct email to you, another email address, or via an external website)
- required application materials (resume, cover letter, transcripts, etc.)
- deadline (default is 11:59 pm PST on the date you specify)
- whether you will review applications on a rolling basis (and potentially close the posting early), or wait until after the deadline
Job information
- job title
- practice area(s)
- target student group: JD (1L, 2L, 3L), LLM CL (NCA candidates), LLM (research), LLM Tax, PhD, etc.
- job description (note: more detailed postings generally attract more interest)
- salary information
- start date
- work format (remote, in-person, or hybrid)
- primary job contact (name, title, email, phone, and address — can be either visible or hidden to students)
