The Ministry of Children and Family Development advises that, as of July 16, 2026, Mamalilikulla Chief and Council, and as of July 22, 2026, Westbank First Nation have been added to the list of Indigenous Governing Bodies for the purpose of receiving notice of significant measures under section 12 of An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families.
Mamalilikulla Chief and Council and West Bank First Nation must receive notice prior to taking any significant measure regarding a child or youth from their Nations.
