The Ministry of Children and Family Development advises that, as of June 26, 2025, Animakee Wa Zhing #37 First Nation will be added to the list of Indigenous Governing Bodies for the purpose of receiving notice of significant measures under section 12 of An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families. Animakee Wa Zhing #37 First Nation must receive notice prior to taking any significant measure regarding a child or youth from their Nation.
