Legal Aid BC has negotiated with the Law Foundation of BC to establish a one-year articling program in collaboration with the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers. This initiative provides $40,000 for each of the 12 participating law firms, enabling them to hire a dedicated articled student. The student is expected to devote at least 50 percent or more of their time to legal aid work.
